Chef Ryan Clift reinvents the menu every quarter, so be aware that all menus are subject to minor changes to ensure the highest quality ingredients. Additionally, The Cave is pork and lard-free, but it is not a halal-certified restaurant, and alcohol is used in some dishes, despite being cooked off.

For special occasions and holidays, pricing, menu, and timing may vary. It’s important to arrive 15 minutes before your reservation time, as seating times start promptly. Due to the limited seating capacity, menu, and projector shows, guests start their lunch and dinner at fixed times. Guests that are late will be escorted down into The Cave based on the projector show. Unfortunately, guests who are more than 30 minutes late will not be accommodated.

The dress code at The Cave is smart casual. Thongs, singlets, or alcohol-branded attire, bathers, beach slippers, ripped shorts, or beach shorts are not permitted. Formal shorts are allowed. Guests not adhering to the dress code will be given a sarong.

The Cave is located underground, and there are 31 steps from the main door to the restaurant and 11 steps from the main door to the restrooms. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible and completely underground, so guests who are claustrophobic should consider this before making a reservation.

The Cave is a non-smoking and vape-free restaurant, but a smoking section is provided above ground. Non-dining guests are not permitted, and food and beverages from outside are not allowed.

Finally, The Cave is not a recommended venue for young children. Children under the age of 4 are not allowed, and during dinner seatings, children under the age of 12 are not permitted. Guests who wish to bring their children can only book the lunch seating. Alternatively, children can dine at One-Eighty with their own supervision.
